Who Is Gunther?
Gunther is a rescued standard poodle who lives in Cedar Falls, IA. My name is Rhiannon, and Gunther is my dog. Together we are starting a small business! Okay, I’m doing most of the work, but Gunther is great at supervising.
I moved to Waterloo in 2004 for a job. I have lived in the area since then, and moved into Cedar Falls in 2019. One of the things I really enjoy about Cedar Falls is our “Shop Local” attitude within the community. It is important to me to support local businesses within the Cedar Falls and Waterloo areas, and I buy from local business owners whenever possible. I also hate waste, and so I really like to dehydrate food. I relish in the fact that I can store and save food for my family. That is what started me on the journey of freeze drying!
What are Gunther’s Treats?
Gunther’s Treats is a snack business that caters to dog owners who are choosy about what they feed both themselves and their dogs. We make freeze dried treats for humans that can be shared with our canine friends! We will also make pet-only treats for our dog and cat, as well as our tiny exotic friends!
Our customers are pet owners who want to buy a clean snack made with local ingredients that they can share with their dog. I want the pet owners that buy our treats to know that they can be confident about where the food in the package comes from. It’s where they live.

Human Treats and Treats for Pets Only
I make all of Gunther’s treats. All treats made in Gunther’s kitchen are safe for dogs to consume.
Some treats are geared towards other animals, such as cats or exotic rodents or even humans. These treats, though preferred by others, are still safe for dogs.

Supporters of Gunther’s Treats have the option of purchasing equipment for the opening of the business directly from our Amazon list. This gives you the ability to determine directly where you want your money to go, as well as the following bonuses:
-If equipment in the wish list comes in multiple colors the Funder can choose the color.
-Any piece of equipment that is purchased by a funder can be named by that funder.

Direct Monetary Donation
Supporters of Gunther’s Treats also have the option of sending a funding donation directly to one of our e-banking accounts. We use Venmo, and we also have both a Stripe and a PayPal account. This gives you the ability to determine directly where you want your money to go, by making a note in the memo line of the transfer you can earmark your contribution for something specific. For example, a banner with shared logo space or a specific fancy polka-dotted mixer.
